Clementine, Rhythombox not showing iPod classic but gtkpod does ???

I have my all my usb devices set up to automount with ldm and I have an iPod conneted. With  Clementine, Banshee and Rhythombox  the iPod is not being listed but if I open gtkpod it finds it  without a problem.
My question is there a folder that I can ln -s  for any of does player to see it beacuse I'm think that maybe they are looking in hte wrong place.

Ideas?
