My partition table is the following :
http://i41.tinypic.com/mjp8g1.png
I'll try to explain further what i did. I got two hard drives on my system . sda and sdb . sda disk is 1TB and had windows 7 installed in all of its capacity (prior the arch installation). The other hard drive sdb is 270GB and had Ubuntu installed . sdb has Grub installed also.
I decided to install Arch and go triple boot . I followed roughly this installation without the part where the guy installs grub. I chose that after installing arch i will go to Ubuntu and update my grub with
sudo update-grub
and so did i. Grub updated succesfully and i got one addition to the menu of Grub (Arch on /dev/sda5). Also i want to report that i used gpartedlive Usb to make my arch partitions.
After booting to Arch i was getting the above message which is difficult to decrypt but i know that is something subtle. I just can't get my head around it.

What does your /etc/fstab look like? The system tries to mount /dev/sda5 to '/', but it is defined with a fstype 'swap'.
In your screenshot, /dev/sda6 is the swap partition, so there must be an error in the /etc/fstab of your arch system.
You should be able to mount your partition in the emergency shell and repair your fstab.

I tried to see the contents of the fstab file as u suggested but it was empty .
I also tried to mount sda5 and the system didn't let me do it.

you could boot off a live CD and run the following
mkdir /a
mount /dev/sda5 /a
then edit /a/etc/fstab and fix the glitch

Please always provide error messages...
Why are you not able to mount the partition? I fixed my /etc/fstab some time ago from the emergency shell, so I'm pretty shure you should be able to mount the partition.
Edit: Off course you can do it from a live CD as oliver suggested

I followed roughly this installation without the part where the guy installs grub.
That's your problem. When installing Arch, always follow the Beginners' Guide or, if you are expert, the Official Installation Guide. Both are maintained as part of the wiki. That particular tutorial contains instructions which are extremely likely to break your install. In particular, it tells you to pacman -Sy followed by pacman -S <packages>. Do NOT do this. It also harmlessly but bizarrely tells you to install sudo and then see if the repositories include it.
If you are not comfortable with the Beginners' Guide, you should not install Arch until you are. End of story.

Device names in /dev are not guaranteed to be consistent. Just use a UUID or LABEL for identifying root. /dev/sda5 might have been your root device when you installed, but it clearly isn't anymore (and this is working as intended).

You imply that there is something wrong with /dev/sda5 ?? In fstab sda5 corresponds to the root which seems normal to me...

I do not imply. I insist, and you have empirical evidence supporting my insistence. You have a comment which was auto-generated by genfstab and reflects the name of the device as it existed at install time. Regardless, /etc/fstab is not relevant to early userspace.
The alternative here is that you ran mkswap on your root device.

Ok let's see if i get this straight. You say that i have to boot again from live arch usb and do like the following commands:
mkswap /dev/sda5
and then:
swapon /dev/sda5
Now i have a question. Wouldn't the above commands ruin the contents of the root ( / ) directory. During the installation the swap partition was made to be /dev/sda6 and not /dev/sda5.
Wouldn't be more logical to do:
mkswap /dev/sda6
and then:
swapon /dev/sda6
????

No. Just stop. Find your bootloader config. Replace root=/dev/sda5 with root=UUID=0e2597fd-b847-4da2-8b58-73fd216ad1f8.
You are my hero! Thank you very much.
