Hi!
I have tried:
Kompozer -> It is impossible to make a href link from an image, because the text field in the menu is missing. Every day scenario.
Bluegriffon -> incredibly slow on my machine.
Seamonkey compozer -> no syntax highlighting in HTML mode...
Any other ideas?

Did you try Bluefish? I have no experience with it, but it seems to be popular.

I prefer simple text editors so I don't know if there are any good ones around, but you may take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTML_editors and try out a few.

Thx, but Bluefish isn't WYSIWYG.

WYSIWYG is horrible, they tend to not be very user friendly, and they ususally spit out horrible code. Use a good editor instead imo.

WYSIWYG
Use your browser + darkhttpd + a good text editor.
If you insist on a true WYSIWYG, try Bluegriffon.
