Can't get Guitar Pro 6 (AUR) to run

Bit of a specific problem, but Google is failing me.

Installed and reinstalled Guitar Pro from the AUR a few times... Had to chown /dev/snd/seq and put a symlink to /lib/libz.so.1.2.8 to get it to run.
Every time I start it running and an error dialogue comes up saying:

gp build with Qt: 4.6.3 run with Qt: 4.6.2

and then a terminal error saying

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I've got no idea what to do now!

Re: Can't get Guitar Pro 6 (AUR) to run

That deb-file seems to have binaries compiled for debian against specific versions of debian packages, getting it to run on arch will likely be a problem.

It looks like proprietary software, so getting the source code is unlikely.
You can try contacting the makers and ask if they can provide a statically built version.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Moving to AUR Issues...

Arch + dwm   •   Mercurial repos  •   Surfraw
