Trying to set xscreensaver for an animated wallpaper, but /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glslideshow -root runs one screensaver across both monitors where the normal xscreensaver runs one screensaver on each monitor.
Any advise?

Sounds like this is really uncommon unfortunately. Polite bump.

Ended up working around the problem using xwinwrap and some simple scripts to find the exact resolution to use. Not satisfactory (to me), but it works for now.
#!/bin/bash
# This turns on xscreensaver using xwinwrap on one (or both) screens
SCREENCOUNT=$(xrandr -q | grep " connected " | grep -v " connected (" | wc -l)
xwinwrap -b -sp -st -nf -ni -ov -g 1920x1080 -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glslideshow -root -window-id WID &
if [[ $SCREENCOUNT -gt 1 ]]; then
xwinwrap -b -sp -st -nf -ni -ov -g $(xrandr -q | grep " connected " | grep -v LVDS1 | awk '{ print $3 }') -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glmatrix -root -window-id WID &

In case anyone needs it, I wrote a simple script (to use with glslideshow) which iterates through wallpapers in a directory in an ordered sequence, ensuring that the same wallpaper is displayed on each monitor on transition. It's not very robust, and Python isn't my first language, but it works simply.
