How to reattach a screen session when it "hangs"

Hello, when I'm attached to a screen on PuTTY and my connection drops, it's impossible for me to reattach to that session. I normally use `screen -dr' but it does not work.

For example when I do `screen -d' it just hangs. Or when I do `screen -d' it says it has dettached the screen, and then you do `screen -r' and it says it's still attached.

I have tried `screen -D -RR' as well, like the documentation says, but nothing works. You have to wait several minutes for it to eventually work, and then when you get to reattach the screen, all connections on Irssi have been lost, like if screen had the whole Irssi process frozen somehow.

Any ideas?
