amaroK freezes briefly when starting a track

Every once in a while, amaroK will cause a brief period of unresponsiveness when starting to play a track. The cursor will stop moving, rendiring of widgets, OpenGL stuff, etc. will stop, and the music will not start for 1-2 seconds. It's never been problematic enough for me to have to restart X, but it's very annoying.

Is this bug documented, and if so, how can I resolve it?
