Hi.
At the transition from version 5.0.2 to version 5.1.0, Qt5-doc package was not updated. It is a choice or an oversight?
edit: sorry, wrong place... Can you move it here, please?
edit2: thanks ewaller

Moved by request. Note to all, that this was not a request to know when it was going to be released. It is a valid question in that it is trying to determine if the omission is technical or clerical.

I found this.... but I can't find where qt5-doc separate PKGBUILD is.

pacman -Si qt5-tools shows that it has an optional dependency called qt5-doc, but pacman -Si qt5-doc prints error: package 'qt5-doc' was not found.

Indeed there is no such package in the repos. Maybe you should notify the maintiner to remove that opt-dependency.
On the other hand. there's a qt5-tools package which include QtHelp. See if it is what you want.

There's another thread about this https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=166476 , but no solutions there.

Has anyone tried to make a PKGBUILD for it? If you have one that works, send it to the ML.

install Qt 5.x from the official site.

I see https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qt5-doc has been uploaded, so you can check it out.

Eh, we'll try to fix this properly. Sadly qt makes it a little hard to do properly.

should I have to install qt 5.1 from the official sources because of the documentation, or do we will have a package for arch?

We will provide a package a little later. Qt is making it hard to provide proper docs packages.

With the update to 5.1.1 I added the qt5-doc package back. It will be in the repos in some hour or tomorrow.
