Hello so I have used vpnc with kvpnc in the past however it seems like something that occured in the past 6 months has broken it horribly.
What I have is that it will connect but drops the connection after about 10-20 seconds. pinging something on the vpn continually goes through then drops, after about 20 min breaking out of the ping shows 20% packet loss.
This happens on wi-fi and wired, with or without dead peer enabled.
any suggestions?
Quick update, I tried rolling back just the vpnc and kvpnc packages and that did not help either, The original install of vpnc and kvpnc was back in December last year, and I updated it in February of this year and again last earlier this month, It worked last month so it had to be something that was updated between Feb and July. Right now I am getting by using vpnc widget on my phone when needed. The system is an old Acer aspire 5532. Things I havn't tried is rolling back the kernel and wicd.
