Which version are these packages? Have you tried using ARM https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Do … ck_Machine ?

Manjaro uses completely different repos; their mirror list would be useless on Arch.
I also doubt that their packages would be in any way "better" than what is in the AUR. You should probably try and work out what it is about compiz that isn't working for you.

I thought compiz disappeared in Manjaro repository too. In fact I tried some weeks ago, and cannot find it in Manjaro.
And here, ARM is recommanded too:

I like compiz a lot too, for the responsiveness, lightweightness and the usability (manual tiling and comfortable app switcher). Don't understand why it's not maintained much lately by main distributions. It seems Fedora is the only one shipping a easily accessible compiz now.

You should probably contact the AUR maintainer. If the package doesn't work, it means the maintainer isn't doing a good job.

Have you tried compiz-bzr? It looks like it has an issue here and there, but judging from the comments, it is far away from being broken.

The old binary packages still work flawlessly here. They can be found on the ARM. I don't see a problem. Also, please read this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1300415

"didn't work" is not an error message. If you want help, please post exact error messages, logs etc.
