Re: Logitech wireless mouse doesn't work with Linux 3.10

@rainbowgoblin Can you try older installation media? While your K800 does not work, can you provide at least dmesg and lsusb, and otherwise details from post 24 (probably by using a borrowed keyboard)?

Re: Logitech wireless mouse doesn't work with Linux 3.10

I will get the logs tonight. I'm guessing I should have a step between 3 and 4 where I actually replug the receiver?

Re: Logitech wireless mouse doesn't work with Linux 3.10

I couldn't figure out the usbmon step (I mounted debugfs, but the usb directory only had a file named devices in it... I guess this is because I'm running off the installation disk).

However, I've got other logs.

dmesg.out
lsmod.out
lsusb.out

This is when I boot with a wired USB keyboard and a unified receiver mouse. I have no idea whether the mouse is working, but my unified receiver keyboard (K800) didn't work at all.

Re: Logitech wireless mouse doesn't work with Linux 3.10

I've had this problem as well after upgrading to 3.10. Finally I've found one USB port on which the unifying receiver works flawlessly. Though I have absolutely no idea why this one port does fine and the other five ports fail ...

@cellisten I have replied to your mail. Please watch https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60507.

@rainbowgoblin Those URLs are useless, I cannot access them with plowdown. Please use a better file hosting service in the future. The usbmon trace is really important, without that the dmesg and lsusb may be less useful.

Re: Logitech wireless mouse doesn't work with Linux 3.10

I've never had to use a file hosting service before, I'd really appreciate a suggestion.

How can I get usbmon running with the installation disk?

Try one that is listed on http://code.google.com/p/plowshare/wiki/Readme4, say mediafire? When all fails, you can mail it to me at lekensteyn@gmail.com.

If you do not see usbmon, try `modprobe usbmon` as root.
