xfce logout compositor problem

Hello, I have really strange problem with my xfce. I'm clicking on the panel on my user name to log out. But the button remains pressed-in and menu with log out command is not displayed. I can restart xfce-panel with command line but it starts again afer some time without my user name on the panel. The user name appears again after few minutes and when I click on it, the situation repeats.

Xfce terminal doesn't want to open for some time, the same happens with kde apps and other apps which probably need some compositing abilities. In journalctl I can see like million of:

lip 28 18:01:00 linux slim[291]: Performance warning: Compositor disabled
lip 28 18:01:00 linux slim[291]: Performance warning: Compositor disabled
lip 28 18:01:00 linux slim[291]: Performance warning: Compositor disabled
lip 28 18:01:00 linux slim[291]: Performance warning: Compositor disabled

I'm using:

local/nvidia-304xx 304.88-12
NVIDIA drivers for linux, 304xx legacy branch
local/nvidia-304xx-utils 304.88-1
NVIDIA drivers utilities and libraries, 304xx legacy branch

Any ideas? I've searched google and this forum but no luck...

Re: xfce logout compositor problem

Not sure if I had the same problem, but enabling ModemManager in systemd seems to have solved the problem for me.

EDIT:
Sorry, forget what I said: the problem has just reappeared after some suspend/resume. System comes back to normal if I type:
# systemctl restart upower

Re: xfce logout compositor problem

I found it's firefox's message: http://dxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/ … Common.cpp

message.AppendLiteral("Performance warning: Compositor disabled");

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=901040

Re: xfce logout compositor problem

Okay, this problem drives me crazy. Compositor disabled message appears every time I wish to display log out window so it's double strange as firefox isn't running.

Second thing, I have to wait long for this window to be displayed. Logs says that:

sie 02 20:29:00 linux slim[255]: xfce4-session: Querying suspend failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken

Re: xfce logout compositor problem

I do not have any of these warnings about compositing in my journal. I am using lxdm+xfce.

Other people have similar problems with other DEs:

Re: xfce logout compositor problem

Probably the same as https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=167667

EDIT:
The problem seems to be solved for me by latest update of libusbx (1.0.16-1 -> 1.0.16-2)
