Re: problem with systemctl enable xfce4.service

xfce4.service is not provided by any of the xfce packages in our repos, nor is it mentioned in our wiki's xfce pages. Why do you think you should be using it? Why not just follow the existing documentation?

# systemctl start lightdm .service

#reboot .

Re: problem with systemctl enable xfce4.service

Can't speak for everyone here, but none of that makes sense to me, nor is it relevant to your xfce question. Maybe someone else can help you.

We are not getting true information, so you are making it very difficult to help you.

How does enabling  "lightdm.service" result in a line "ls-S" (linking?) lxdm to some "manger" junk? I assume this is something you have typed in without checking? Please slow down.

Oh, OK. Looking at your six posts so far I can see you're going to get banned or at least moved to "topics going nowhere"

Sorry, better things to do, Bye

Re: problem with systemctl enable xfce4.service

You edit /etc/fstab and remove the duplicate entries?

I'm not sure I understand the question.

Merging Threads.  For all intents and purposes, this was a cross post.

Re: problem with systemctl enable xfce4.service

wasan,  I have now merged ALL THREE of your threads together here in the Newbie forum.  So far, you have generated six reports to the moderators.  Do not start a fourth thread on the same topic.

Your posts do not make sense, and you go to great trouble to not answer direct questions and choose instead to introduce new Non sequiturs.  Please go back and answer the questions.  Provide information requested.  Pay attention to the advice given.

If this thread continues to thrash, it will be binned.
