for smp jobs should not be set to 2 but to number of cpus +1

In /etc/makepkg.conf there is a recommendation to set the jobnumber for make on smp systems to 2.
That´s not the best suggestion!

Also today there are many smp systems having more than 2 cores. Think off PIV 840EE and DualCore Opteron 2x0 and 8x0 models.

Best general suggestion is to set it to the number of cpus +1. It´s quiete faster and still safe.
