Why the heck should the new kdeutils package need XMMS?!
[proteus@localhost ~]$ sudo pacman -Rscn xmms
Targets: kdeutils rar unzip zip tpctl dosfstools net-snmp gmp xmms libmikmod
Do you want to remove these packages? [Y/n] n
(You can tell I'm not an XMMS fan, can't you.)

Because kdeutils now includes superkaramba.

Oh. :? Any chance of those packages being split up?
(kdeutils also contains Ark, which is a danged useful tool.)
Offline
feel free to split it yourself.

Maybe
pacman -Rd xmms
will do the trick.

Yes, removing XMMS and libmikmod works. It makes it impossible to run Karamba... But what the hell, who needs Karamba?

I did a pcman -Syu this morning and got some errors about a conlict between keutils and superkaramba.
would removing superkaramba do (pacman -R superkaramba) be enough or will I have to do pacman -Sf kdeutils?

pacman -R superkaramba and pacman -S kdeutils would be enough.
