I have a 8x SATA DVD±RW DVD Burner Drive For Dell Inspiron 1545, and am using Udiskie, which works fine for thumbdrives. owever, my aformentioned optical drive will not mount. Furthurmore, /dev/srX or /dev/cdrw do not exist so I cannot find the location of the drive. Running cd-drive returns:

GNU/Linux ioctl and MMC driver
cdrdao (TOC) disk image driver
bin/cuesheet disk image driver
Nero NRG disk image driver
and lsscsi only shows my harddrive on /dev/sda. The user is in the Optical group and the drive has previously worked on an Ubuntu install. Thank you for your time.

I'm not sure why, but several reboots later, the drive showed up. Perhaps the problem was that is was an audio cd, which the wiki covers
