When I plug in my Kindle, I cannot mount it to write to it. This is what dmesg tells me when I plug and unplug my Kindle:
[60279.474251] usb 1-2: new high-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd
[60422.161555] usb 1-2: USB disconnect, device number 4
[60428.690082] usb 1-2: new high-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd
[60699.265570] usb 1-2: USB disconnect, device number 5
[60707.084849] usb 1-2: new high-speed USB device number 6 using xhci_hcd
[60773.297505] usb 1-2: USB disconnect, device number 6
[60780.268170] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd
When I plug it in, a drive appears as /dev/sdc, but without any partitions (so there's no /dev/sdc1).
I have libmpt installed.

Have you tried to simply mount /dev/sdc? My Kobo doesn't seem to contain any partitions either, so I just mount the whole drive.

When I try to mount /dev/sdc, Mount returns an error about /dev/sdc not having a filesystem. (It definitely has a filesystem, since I can read books on it.)
