Power saving, keep mouse working.

To enable some simple services on the internet mainly for me I am keeping my computer switched on 24/7.
So I would like to reduce the power consumption to minimum, at least when I am not in front of the computer.

I am following the archwiki article, but I am stuck in a little problem.
Disable the USB devices seem a sensitive thing to do, but I find extremely annoying that the mouse stop working until I click.

Is there a way to keep the mouse working when I am logged in?
And in general can you share any suggestion to save power?

Thanks

Re: Power saving, keep mouse working.

I suggest using laptop-mode and disable usb-suspension, or you can whitelist the USB device so it wont suspend.
Removing the udev rule from USB Autosuspend in the wiki will make sure the USB is not suspended
