Ok so now that the new rdesktop release includes features regarding authentication and security such as Network Level Authentication (NLA) which adds support for SSL/TLSv1 connections and kerberos server authentication. I'm getting the following error on load
[name@desktop][~]% rdesktop -g 1920x1060 -P -z -x l -r sound:off -u name 192.168.1.101:3389
ERROR: CredSSP: Initialize failed, do you have correct kerberos tgt initialized ?
Connection established using SSL.
WARNING: Remote desktop does not support colour depth 24; falling back to 16
zsh: segmentation fault (core dumped) rdesktop -g 1920x1060 -P -z -x l -r sound:off -u name 192.168.1.101:3389
Anyone have a clue to how i go about getting this new release working.
Thanks

if you remove the -u name and / or -p password from the command you can use connect using rdesktop
rdesktop -g 1920x1060 -P -z -x l -r sound:off 192.168.1.101:3389
The fault only occurs when user /and/or password is used.

I tried that, on virtualbox don't works. I cant tell why, but on my real machine this works like a charm, using svn

Thanks for the reply, dropping the user name switch didn't seem help. Still getting exact same error. Turns out to be the -P switch causing the crash, the bug has already been reported so I'll mark as solved.
In the meantime i have just downgraded the package.

xfreerdp is a possible alternative as well, in case anyone's interested.
