[SOLVED] Broadcom BCM4311 doesn't show up in lspci

After updating the system, the wireless device disappeared from lspci output (using an old arch liveCD, the device is shown). Obviously, iwconfig shows "no wireless extensions" as the PCI device is somehow invisible.

However, using "rfkill list", hp-wifi is shown and the hardware LED button works.

Simply downgrading the kernel to 3.1 did not help. Any ideas on how to make the device reappear?

Can you change the kernel in your running system to see if you get it back?  If you haven't cleared your package cache, you should still have the old kernel version(s) there.

Also does anything else fail to show up as well when you compare the lspci outputs?

Reseting the BIOS solved the problem, as indicated here. Thank you nevertheless.
