I need to use the software Scilab, I've chosen the package scilab5-bin, maintained by Sloonz. I've already installed it, but there are several errors during startup. These have been already reported in the package page, almost two months ago, and I've also emailed the maintainer, but there was no answer.
The errors described by DaveCode are the same as mine, you may see them here. I haven't found anything related to this, so I'm stuck.
