Not sure where to look for a solution...
After upgrade to 3.10.7.1 the system seems to boot fine from grub. Grub menu is shown on the display connected to the DVI port. Then..the display goes into power saving mode as it receives no signals from the system. I tried a secondary display on VGA and that works fine. When I then look in Gnome3's display settings, the DVI display shows up.
If I connect the 'troubled' display to the system by VGA, it works just fine. Only problem with connection by DVI...
It's a Dell 2408 display on a AMD/ATI RS880 (Radeon HD HD 4250) videocard, integrated on a ASRock motherboard

Had something similar happen a while back with an nVidia card. It turned out to be a regresion in nouveau. So I'd advise checking the mailing list and bugtracker of your driver.
Due to my situation, I waited for someone else to report the issue. I wouldn't advise that, because it took quite a while before it was reported and fixed. I ended up switching to nvidia.
But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.
