After update (wow that's weird) another problem is that nm-applet is not starting anymore,
normally to start it I use .xinitrc :
]$ cat .xinitrc | grep nm
(sleep 3 && /usr/bin/nm-applet --sm-disable )
I'm using openbox. While the other .xinitrc programs are shown on LXPanel
Not seeing anything on the logs, and when I run it on a terminal it runs without problem.

Please post your entire .xinitrc file. And please use [ code ] tags.
You know Openbox has an autostart file, right? You could try starting nm-applet there.

Have you tried to execute it from the autostart config file, from openbox?
Maybe it works that way for you., and I always did it like that, when I used openbox.
With i3WM I use now, I also let the WM start it, and at the moment it's manual.
edit, second time today, must type faster

Yes , after adding it on openbox autostart it works, but it's weird as should have worked from .xinitrc as it has done until now while nothign was changed to the config.

I can't tell you why, and it's supposed to work I guess, but I tend to always use WM autostart files for these 'autostarters'
