Dbus error after recent upgrade - cannot login into KDE

Hi everybody!
  I recently upgraded one of my arch systems and, at reboot, I could no longer login.
When I try to do so, a little window pops up saying

"Could not start d-bus. Can you call qdbus?"

I then press the only button, "okay", but that a lie because if I open tty1 and type qdbus it complains

Could not connect to D-Bus server: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NotSupported: Unable to autolaunch a dbus-daemon without a $DISPLAY for X11

which I think might be fine, as tty1 doesn't have a X11 session.

The list of upgraded packages is unfortunately long [KDE 4.11 was involved] and you can find it here
http://pastebin.com/J7RzGGuu

Other infos:

$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep EE
[ 1100.047] (EE) Failed to load module "vesa" (module does not exist, 0)
[ 1100.047] (EE) Failed to load module "modesetting" (module does not exist, 0)
[ 1100.047] (EE) Failed to load module "fbdev" (module does not exist, 0)

dmesg looks clean.

What could it be?
Thanks for any help smile
