trying to install vmware from aur.archlinux.org

Sounds like the vmware binary was downloaded wrong.
try downloading it yourself to the build dir and run it again.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
