packer unable to search/install from AUR

Hey,

Returning from Debian, so my Arch is a little rusty.

I have a problem with my packer installation. It is unable to find any packages when you search (packer -Ss) or when installing a package with a confirmed name.
It works fine with repo packages, but then again, that's pacman working.

The packer package is packer-git which install fine.

I tried the solution from this post. (reinstall packer, update-ca-certificates) without success.

EDIT:
Exact command and results:

$ packer -Ss powder

$ packer -Ss packer

Any help would be appriciated smile
