Hey folks,
I'm having an issue with installing Rockbox on a Sansa Clip Zip (4GiB model). After running RockboxUtility (provided by [community]/rbutil), I get the configure screen as normal, but I need to manually select my device's mountpoint. This would not really be an issue, except the way I am made to select the mountpoint is through a dropdown box (I cannot manually enter the correct /dev identifier or a directory to which I have mounted it). The only mountpoints that are available to me are /dev/shm, /tmp and /dev/mqueue. I am not particularly familiar with /dev/shm or /dev/mqueue, but I seriously doubt I should be trying to mount my device to them. For kicks and giggles, I decided to try and mount the device to mqueue, but, to my surprise, that option immediately disappered from the dropdown box once I had it mounted.
I now have no idea how I can do this install automagically, but the manual install will require my manually patching the firmware which does not seem as fun as it sounds. Has anyone else run into this problem? How were you able to work around it?
[Edit]: Woops, fixed my own stupidity. In order to see all the available mount-points, RockboxUtility must be run as root.
All the best,
-HG
