gnome broken..

Alright.. I am totally new to archie.. I managed to install it and run it with gnome and everything was dandy..

Then my friend sends me some module for nautilus and i copy it to the lib folder and restart and my gnome goes broken.. it opens but looks totally crazy..

Anyway I figured to remove the module and everything would be good, but the same result.. so I reinstalled gnome with :
pacman -S gnome
Yet didnt help.. I figured to remove gnome first with:
pacman -R gnome
But wasnt allowed because of some damned dependancies.. tried also:
pacman -Rs gnome (remove with all dependancies)
pacman -Rf gnome (force)

But not successful in removing gnome.. which is really really pissing me of.. I mean I should be able to easily remove a program that I have installed..

More Is some modifications that could be done to pacman.. when installing many packages it could count all packages and let the user know how many it is and how many it has installed.. that was the user could know about how much is left. There was some other things that came up to my mind but I forgot now..

Plz help with the gnome thing.. Dont want to reinstall when it should be able to be fixed..

Cheers
Jinn

Re: gnome broken..

pacman -Rs gnome  gives:

error: this will break the following dependancies:
gnome-common : is required by orbit2
..
...
..

where the dots represent other packages in the form of the first one..

Re: gnome broken..

ok.. I used

pacman -Rds gnome

And it worked..

Just one more problem.. I manually removed the packaged /opt/gnome
excepting it to rebuild those files/folders after reinstall.. which it didnt..

Tried to reinstall gnome with pacman -S gnome yet it didnt help.. it still looking for the /opt/gnome folder..

How come its not rebuilt after reinstall?
