Is there somewhere a qcow2 img for Archlinux ? i want to use Archlinux on Openstack.
Thanks in advance !
Have you tried creating one yourself? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Cr … disk_image
No i didn't. I was just wondering if someone already done it, as we can find qcow openstack ready img for Fedora, RHEL, Ubuntu and even Microsoft Windows 2012.
It was tried http://mytestbed.net/issues/1204 but there were issues https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 9#p1282359
I really want to see Arch Linux on Openstack. I guess we need to port cloud-init first into Arch Linux.
I would like to do it, but i am not a developer i don't know where to start.
I am very surprise to see that Arch has not been ported to Openstack, typically the Archlinux community is very dynamic and react fast.
Agreed that it'd be sweet to have an openstack image for archlinux! I've already done the cloud-init porting https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cloud-init/ and https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cloud-init-bzr/
This cloud-init is in use with our EC2 images from https://www.uplinklabs.net/projects/arch-linux-on-ec2/ . You could try using these same build scripts that are linked on uplinklabs to make a build script that builds an openstack image.
Any news on this? I would also love to use Arch Linux on OpenStack
Hi, I have just created Arch Linux OpenStack qcow2 image:
Maybe somebody will make use of it.
This is basic image with base packages installed, I didn't install GUI and cloud-init, so You will have to customize it according to personal preferences.
