Printing issue with Epson E352dn: "'PQ#V^%=ggiP:i9P6m1..."

Printing one job works with this ppd installed via CUPS 1.6.3 and connected via USB, but starting the next job leads to a nearly blank page beginning with PQ#V^%=ggiP:i9P6m1...

My workaround is to dis- and reattach the USB cable, but of course that's not a nice solution.

Do you have an idea how to avoid this issue?
