mmcblk0 (JMicron SD/MMC/MS/xD) always mounts read-only mode

Hi, I've been using Arch Linux off and on for about a year, and I've run into a problem that I've never seen. The issue is with mmcblk0 on my Lenovo Y580. I am running Gnome 3 and am aware that udisks2 is managing the automounting behavior. The problem is that this device always mounts in read-only mode. I can write to the device as root; however, I cannot change permissions. I've looked everywhere and am frankly stumped. I've tried formatting the device to formats other than the exfat system that I am using for the disk; however, the same behavior is observed. This wouls seem kind of important to me as these devices are pretty common. With that, any help would be appreciated.

What happens if you mount it by hand?
Do you have exfat-utils installed?
What other filesystems have you tried?

Re: mmcblk0 (JMicron SD/MMC/MS/xD) always mounts read-only mode

Ok. I removed the exfat package I installed from the AUR, replaced it with the fuse-exfat from community. That seemed to do the trick. I understand there might be some patent issues here with this package; however, I'm sure it will be fine. Thanks a bunch for your reply.
