There seems to be a problem displaying the correct icon for gedit in the window button area of my panel after I launch it.
The icon that appears (instead of the generic text-editor icon of my theme), is the non-icon/window icon:
The issue also happens with Pinta (I found out when I tried to crop the screenshot, which btw threw an error when I tried to copy a rectangle area - I might have to open another thread for that).
So far I have tried:
1) Changing the icon theme.
2) Changing the gtk theme.
3) Tinkering with the .desktop file. (that might be totally irrelevant)
But to no avail.
Anyone else has another idea?

One thing could be running gtk-update-icon-cache. Also, gedit seems to be using org.gnome schemas to create the main window instead of the usual method. Have other non-gnome users been able to see an icon for it?

Great things come in tar.xz packages.
