Can I just "pacman -Sy" to a different kernel

I installed arch with the kernel26-ide, but I would like to get scsi support. Can I just use pacman to change to kernel26-scsi? What would the exact command be?

pacman -S kernel26-scsi edit your lilo.conf or grub menu.1st reboot

however, you might be better off switching to 2.6.14 from testing, it integrates ide and scsi kernels. add/uncomment testing repo lines in pacman.conf, pacman -Sy kernel26 recomment testing lines

Re: Can I just "pacman -Sy" to a different kernel

Thanks, Dusty, for the quick reply. I am going to try the change to kernel26-scsi first, but may go ahead and move up to 2.6.14. I just don't care for initrd. I have had troubles with it in the past. That may be something that I did wrong, but for now I will stick with the 2.6.13 scsi version.

Thanks again,
