I am currently having trouble with this network interface. It used to work reliably but a recent upgrade seems to have made it unreliable.
When I turn this PC on the interface shows as working a 100 Mbit/sec. At some point in the boot process the link is dropped and then shortly after it usually shows on the switch as working at 1Gbit/sec. Sometimes this persists until I am able to log in but sometimes the link seems to be dropped again such that when I come to log in the network doesn't work and I can see that the light on the network switch is out.
In those cases in the output of dmesg there is the line:
sky2 0000:04:00.0 enp4s0: disabling interface
Any idea what might be doing this or how I go about debugging it?
