[SOLVED] NetworkManager "Requesting a network address" fails?

I'm trying to get Wi-Fi to work on my laptop. I installed and set up NetworkManager. When I click my Wi-Fi network in the applet, it shows the "connecting" logo, and when I hover it, it says "Requesting a Wi-Fi network address for 'dlink'..." for about 10-15 seconds, then it fails. Surprisingly, the same thing is now happening with ethernet, even though it worked fine before I installed NetworkManager. Is there some kind of DHCP setting I need to fix?

EDIT: Turns out dhcpcd and NetworkManager were conflicting, I just had to disable dhcpcd

Re: [SOLVED] NetworkManager "Requesting a network address" fails?

What have you been using for your network connection before NetworkManager?
Is your Wi-Fi secured, which security protocol ?
Have you installed additional program like gnome-keyring, for beeing able to enter passwords ?
What is happening with ethernet?
Is the name of your device configured properly?
Have you read this page already? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NetworkManager
