NetworkManager Slows Reboot

NetworkManager 0.9.8.8-1

On a box that otherwise reboots in seconds, why does NetworkManager stall a full minute? Reboot hangs halfway, waiting for NetworkManager to finish. I wish I knew why. Nothing similar happens at bootup. There's no fancy networking - one wired eth0 card, static IP (no DHCP), no WiFi.

I'd use netctl if it had a GUI in main repos, not AUR. I use it on some boxes. This one needs something "standard" for KDE desktop. Wicd is not maintained. NetworkManager fits, but this weird reboot/shutdown slowness I would like fixed.

- thanks -
