I have encountered a weird problem on youtube homepage (http://youtube.com/) with and only with WebKit browsers.
I am using KDE 4.11.2 with two WebKit broswers: Konqueror (with kwebkitpart) and Qupzilla.
Whenever I go to youtube, stay on the first page, then within seconds my browsers start lagging: not smooth to scroll up and down, difficult to type words etc., and the "No response" window dialog exists if you try to close the browsers.
At first I guess there is something to do with the Flash performance in a 64-bit system just as the wiki suggests, but no, if you just watch any of the youtube videos but not in the homepage, everything works fine and well.
And so I installed another WebKit browser and to see whether the same situation occurs, and turned out Rekonq had the same situation.
But there is one thing that I can notice: if Flash is set to be not loaded automatically in Qupzilla, then it wouldn't lag. Then I found something interesting: there is a flash element in the youtube homepage which has no content:

If I did not trigger the element, everything's fine; but if i clicked to load it, the browser lags.
In order to ensure whether it is a system-wide problem or just the problem of WebKit browsers, I installed Firefox. Surprisingly, Firefox works well on Youtube, nothing happens. Therefore it is not performance issue, probably not an issue of Flash, but the problem of WebKit....?
