I have the a formentioned laptop here. I switched to wl because in my previous setup I had quite a few problems with brcmsmac and had difficulty making it load in this arch install, so I said screw it. Anyhow, I compiled the wl driver from AUR and loaded it (it also added a blacklist of b43, brcma, brcmsmac...). It scans and connects to networks perfectly well, except when it has to query for dhcp. If I put in a static IP it connects. It should be noted that I have tried wifi-config, WICD, and am currently using network-manager, having had the same results in all.
My questions: has anyone seen something like this on this card; and where can I start digging to debug this?

Nevermind; note for anyone else: other network services will interfere with both wicd and network manager, and wifi-config is crap
