qemu and windows xp

Heya..

I'm planning to remove windows xp utterly from my partitions, and reinstall Arch Linux with the entire hdd. What I'm wondering is if anyone has had any luck with emulating Windows  XP using qemu? On their site I saw some reported problems, but that was with an older version, so I'm not sure how it is now..

Thanks.

Worked fine here too but was extremely slow, even with kqemu. You might want to look into vmware (or the free vmplayer) as well, i have nothing but good things to say about it.

vmplayer can be, uh, persuaded to run whatever you want, check hackaday.

Ah, if there's performance issues, I might have to reconsider. I'll look into vmplayer/vmware as well. As in matter of fact, I think I've got a license somewhere, too, heh.
