Which app should I use to make video slideshow from still images?

Hi!

Is there an app / script language I can make video slideshow from still images with? I used avisynth in windows to do video stuffs, I also can use it with wine in linux. I tried KDEnlive earlier but timing was wrong / shifted. Is there any out-of-the-box native linux or windows app which works with wine to do this task?

The forum is not a distributed search engine. Please make some effort to answer you own questions before posting here. My first search for "linux convert images to video" produced numerous relevant hits and it would take very little effort to refine that further.
