Firmware problem with Built in 7045A Supermicro Adaptec AIC-9410W SAS/SATA Controller
I copied the file aic94xx-seq.fw to /lib/firmware now I get a log:
Oct 30 22:08:46 sm2 kernel: aic94xx: Adaptec aic94xx SAS/SATA driver version 1.0.3 loaded

I might point out that LMDE, Ubuntu and other OS's do not require this file, CentOS does, but it still works with this one, so my guess is that I need a different file, I found:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2 … 00787.html but no help, old thread, dead link.
Machine: Supermicro 7045A, AIC-9410W SAS/SATA Controller
I have searched the forums and Internet, not much about this in Archlinux, all old threads.
Does anyone have an Adaptec 9410W SAS/SATA Controller working in Archlinux or Manjaro?

try installing https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/aic94xx-firmware/
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

I deleted the firmware file and install the one from AUR, its the same, and I have the same problem.

It's a long shot, but it seems possible that systemd automounting or systemd module autoloading are somehow causing that fail.
i suggest to boot into console (multi-user.target) , login as root and rmmod the driver.
Then manually load it with modprobe .
