Hello guys,
Whenever I click "shut down" in XFCE the computer shuts down, disables the file systems and so on and then it doesn't power off. The last message I see is something with "reboot" and "poweroff", then I have to press the hardware power button. Sadly I can't find the message in either journald or the /var/log/files.
How do I achieve an instant poweroff in this situation?

Hi,
same here
I just installed Arch Linux on a Acer Aspire V5-573, but I cannot shutdown the laptop. Reboot works, but I choose shutdown then the system hangs for a while.
Last message of systemd is the following:
Storage is finalzed.
[xxxx.xx] mei_me 0000:00:16.0: stop
[xxxx.xx] reboot: Power down
I've already tried with the latest kernel from core repo, and linux-lts too. No difference in this point of view.
I wanted to use Cinnamon (if it matters), but shutdown does not work from command line neither.
