Running KDE 3.5. The ~, ´, and ¨ keys has to be presses twice - or nothing happens. All other keys are working OK. This is true for all applications.
If I´m in a virtual terminal - everything is just fine, no need for any double click on any key.
My idea was that the probelem is with the KDE keyboard definitions (I hace a Logitech wireless kbd) - but any setting I chose (pc103, pc105, Logitech - any of them) doesn´t solve the problem.
Any ideas will be welcomed.

You are using deadkeys. They're used in languages that have accents on some signs. éàîü for example.

I think the idea was to remove deadkeys and see if it works then.

SO, in the end, changed the keyboard definition in Control Center to -
U.S. English w/ ISO9995-3 [en_US]
and everything works just fine
Thanks for your help
