Re: [SOLVED] Cups printing problem from LibreOffice

Does it give any error? Try launching it from the terminal and notice the output (if any).

Re: [SOLVED] Cups printing problem from LibreOffice

CUPS version 1.7.0 came out within the past two weeks (2013-11-15). Does printing work in LibreOffice if you downgrade the "cups" package to the previous version? (Check your local package cache)

If that works, you'll have a start to knowing where the problem is and a temporary workaround at least.

Re: [SOLVED] Cups printing problem from LibreOffice

Wait a minute. I just noticed your libreoffice version is 4.1.3.2. This is not available in the official repos. Where did you get it from?

[novakjano@1015CX Temp]$ pacman -Ss libreoffice | grep writer
extra/libreoffice-writer 4.1.3-1 (libreoffice) [installed]
[novakjano@1015CX Temp]$ libreoffice --version
LibreOffice 4.1.3.2 410m0(Build:2)

Re: [SOLVED] Cups printing problem from LibreOffice

Heh, that's interesting. I get the same output tongue

Maybe it's a packaging bug. But in any case, whenever you mention a version, please mention the output of pacman -Q <pkgname>.

As for downgrading a package, take a look here:

Re: [SOLVED] Cups printing problem from LibreOffice

If you really are in a hurry, why not just print this paper with a little workaround.

Use libreoffice to print to pdf. Then open the pdf in okular, evince, or any other document viewer and print from there.

That should at least solve the hurry part of it.

If you want it to be fixed in the future versions, you should open a bug report on the Arch Bugtracker.
