Guns of Icarus Online will not start - Steam

Me and some friends bought Guns of Icarus Online after this past steam sale, however I am unable to get the game to start. The window will open, but the game doesn't run and the screen stays black. I have to force the application to close. I have tried --resetToDefaults, and also have tried the beta steam client to no avail. I am using the native Linux Steam client, i3 wm with GunsOfIcarus set to open in floating mode, and am using the latest AMD catalyst drivers from Vi0l0's repos. Anyone else have this issue, or know of a possible solution? No log or errors are outputted to the console as far as I could tell.

Hi,

I have the exact same issue with the opensource radeon (in fact radeonSI) driver. My graphics card is Radeon HD 7770, latest updates, DPM enabled in kernel.

I also experiment the same problem in Rogue Legacy. When starting Steam from console I get something like "Trying to remove a child that doesn't believe we're its parents" a hundred times.

On the other hand, games like Hotline Miami or Monaco run just fine, with perfect smoothness.

And finally there is L4D2 that only runs "good" the first time I start it, later attempts I just get stuttering every 2-3 seconds, making it unplayable.

There are so many great updates these days for AMD users
