ip2700 canon printer driver

i have edited this post due to original lack of understanding.

i am trying to install the cnijfilter-ip2700 driver. my understanding is this.

a) download and install the driver from the AUR using the buildpkg utility

b) configure CUPS.

i will try step a) and post back here if i have any problems that i cannot solve myself.

I succesfully manually installed my first package from the AUR today. And may there be many more to come.
