dual screen on dell xps 15z

Hello,

  I have been wishing for a long time to dual screen my arch setup. I have not yet been able to acheive it.

  According to arch's xps 15z wiki page, there are two cards in my laptop (intel and nvidia) and apparently the intel runs on the onboard screen and the nvidia would run the external.

  In the past I have tried bumblebee and other misc. hacks I could find around the net. Recently, I have tried the following steps

pacman -Rdd mesa-libgl
pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils

  Those steps went smoothly but upon reboot Cinamon was crashing. I have reverted.

  Can someone please offer ideas, suggestions, direction on how I can go about acheiving this via the HDMI port please?
