Looking for decent openbox themes site

A couple of quick Qs:

First, will ANY blackbox theme work with openbox?

Second, anyone have any decent sites for openbox themes? The only ones I've found via the homepage and google are naff, with about 3 themes  :?

Always try themes.freshmeat.net:

http://themes.freshmeat.net/browse/1086/
http://themes.freshmeat.net/browse/1087/

To my knowledge, no blackbox theme will work with OpenBox

Re: Looking for decent openbox themes site

I appreciate the info beniro; sadly that's the only site I HAVE been on that's had a decent number of themes, lol.

I'm sure there are theme sites with loads of themes... I've stumbled across them in the past, I just can't find them again sad

Any other suggestions?

www.boxwhore.org

And I'm not sure if Blackbox themes still work with Openbox. I suppose it's worth trying one, just to see.

That site's pretty decent GJ, ta muchly. That one's linked from the homepage for openbox, but it wouldn't load when I tried it last night.

Any other offers?

Re: Looking for decent openbox themes site

Well, now that you mention it, the Openbox homepage might have something.

(Don't worry, the above link works.)

You can try:   http://hewphoria.com/

They are primarily a PekWM themes site, but they are starting to gather a few openbox themes.

Re: Looking for decent openbox themes site

Don't know about  you guys, but I get a bit frustrated when I go to seriously looking for good themes.  Most of them are downright ugly, at least in my opinion, so I've been having to go in and modify (sometimes heavily) any that I download, or simply revert making my own.

Just goes to show that our tastes regarding the ol' desktop can vary widely.     smile

Re: Looking for decent openbox themes site

I agree man...

For instance, check out

http://www.starbreaker.net/linux.php?page_id=openbox3

This guy gives really eloquent descriptions of themes which, and let's be fair to him, are shit. They're just flat colour most of them, and all bar two are identical

I don't really see the point of releasing themes so easy to do yourself... I guess it's either people who are appealing to the complete linux newbie crowd, or people who are desperate to make their site look impressive.

*sigh*
