vmware player

Is it possible to get this running? It seems to use rc0.d - rc6.d init stuff. Is there anyway around this?

Re: vmware player

There's a good wiki article on getting vmware to work, it explains what to do (vmplayer isn't any different).

Re: vmware player

just install vmware WS 5.5 from the AUR.

WS 5.5 includes vmware player.
Since the pkgbuild takes care of the necessary device nodes, it will be a good starting point if you want a separate package for a stand alone vmplayer.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
