Appreciate all the work the community has put into this. I chose Arch for running my new C720 and I'm quite happy with the choice so far despite never having used it previously. I'm posting this from my Arch/C720 as I speak so - so far so good. :)
I do have a lingering issue with my touchpad. I have applied the patches - using the scripts and also manually by following the script's lead. I believe I have the drivers working correctly because I can get dd output from /dev/input/event11 which is what Xorg reports corresponding to cyapa.
Including the relevant part of Xorg.0.log. Happy to provide more if it's helpful. Thanks in advance for any help I receive.

So what is your lingering issue, I don't quite follow?

Sorry I wasn't clear. The touchpad wasn't working in X at all despite seeing dev activity via dd. I had 32-bit Arch installed and since then I've switched to 64-bit. Now all is well. Either the issue is specific to 32-bit or (more likely) it was something that I did wrong during installation/configuration. Thanks for the response, though.
